On the side rearview mirrors of a car, the words "objects appear closer than they appear" are boldly printed. This is the case of Howard Mann who on the surface, appears to be Katherine Jackson's partner in Vintage Pop Media. Mann has hooked up with Melissa Johnson of the fake Heal the World Foundation, in order to sell Michael Jackson memorabilia through the domains she owns for the moment.
The point of this analogy is that both Johnson and Mann appear to be closer than they truly are to any of the Jacksons. Howard Mann does not have the best interests of Katherine nor Michael's children at heart. He has blatantly lied, stating that the Estate executors have given Mrs. Jackson less than $200K, yet court documents prove that the Estate has provided over $9 million to Katherine and Michael's children since his death. Howard Mann has lied time and time again in court documents. Frankly, the docs from Mann's camp look like a 3rd grader drew them up. How interesting is it that both Michael's father and his brother sit on the board of the fake Heal the World Foundation, knowing full well Michael never met Melissa Johnson and did not want to revive the charity?
In reviewing the court documents submitted by Melissa Johnson, where is there any shred of evidence that shows a signature from Michael Jackson in agreement for her to run fake Heal the World Foundation?
I think that Howard Mann and Melissa Johnson underestimated the Michael Jackson fanbase. Even after close to two years after Michael's death, there are thousands of people who read court documents for anything related to Michael. At the very core of the interest, is the belief that Michael's children should not be exploited for profit. Secondly, Michael's trust was not set up for anyone else to receive revenue except Katherine and Michael's three children. Nowhere in the trust does it say that ANYONE other than the Estate have the ability to use Michael's intellectual property.
Most of the MJ fanbase realizes that Howard Mann is reaching for the ultimate prize; the 20% of Michael's trust that is designated to charity. Yeah, I said it. Howard Mann does not give a damn about Katherine Jackson or Michael's children. What he does cae about is continuing to make a profit from property he does not own. If Mann really does believe that, he is just as deluded as Melissa Johnson and her "psychic" ability after her near death experience.
Not only do the Estate executors want nothing to do with either Mann or Johnson, but hell will freeze over before John Branca designates Michael Jackson's last charitable gift to the fake Heal the World Foundation or a former online nude gambling website owner. I just want to say this...with no disrespect for anyone... Mann and Melissa Johnson are not the only one's involved in this fiasco.
Some people need jobs and since Katherine is trying to provide stability for ALL her Children..please keep in mind Mann is a means to a way of accomplishing this.
By getting at least in Part some of the 20% she can secure a lasting security for All of Her Family! Which has always and forever been Katherines goal... Like it or not!
This is why she does not see anything wrong in what she is doing ...MJJ provided for all and she truely believes it is her (job) to make sure it continues on!
I am by no means condoning anything but those of you who have Children have to understand (although you may not like it) what she is doing.

They appear to have circumvented this by including the images of MJ3 to their Youth Board Of Advisors. Clearly when people see MJ3 they see Michael. I'm I just being cynical or is this a way to get around the court order?
While browsing their site, I've tried to find info on what they have done to help those in need. So far, I find a lot of statements regarding what they "will" do in the future but little on what they've done in the last few years.
I'd like to add that if those involved with the HTWF truly wanted to help the disadvantaged, why use the HTWF name in the first place? Why not change the name or start from scratch? Why? Because it's hard and takes a long time to establish, but if there is a true heart for serving others, that shouldn't matter. Clearly the only reason to hold onto the HTWF name is because of it's passed association with the Michael Jackson's name and the ability of that name to make MONEY! I do not have confidence in the charitable intensions of those "running" the current HTWF.
Attempting to buy domain names attached to the most significant entertainer of our time, or any time, does not protect them for Michael's children. How possibly could it? When would those properties be handed over? When MJ3 are adults? Would ALL money made from the non-charitable use of those properties also be handed over? I have no confidence in the claim that buying these properties somehow protects them for MJ3. No confidence what so ever.
If they truly want to be a charity that represents Michael, they should gladly, willingly and in the most professional manner, want to answer these and other questions and concerns about their intentions.
For someone such as Chris Johnson to come on a blog and involve himself in shouting matches about legitimate issues raised about the charity makes he, Melissa and the charity look bad regardless of what he/she feels about what blogs have said about them. Such a display further deepens my doubts about the charity. If Bill Gates were to be questioned about the integrity of his foundation he'll issue a soberly worded press release challenging critics in a professional manner and detailing the foundations accomplishments and that's it. The last thing he'll do is get involved in unseemly public confrontations.

I understand about a mother wanting to provide stability for her children, but her children are long since grown and should be responsible for their own stability. The 20% Michael left in his Will to charity was not meant for his family. KJ and MJ3 are provided for. Mann appears to be a wolf in sheeps clothing and is only out for himself. IMO, he has sweet talked her into deals he has no business of talking her into. I'm sad for Katherine and I pray for her to be rescued from this person.

I hesitate to criticize family but I am troubled by Jermaine's up coming book. We know he travels frequently and that he owes a large amount of back child support. How is it that he can afford to travel extensively but not afford to support his children? Are his trips being funded by someone else? I don't know. The timing of the book announcement and the child support issue does give me pause as to the reason for the book. I'm also troubled by how the book is being marketed. "No subject off limits" is a phrase that I've seen. Words like that are only used when maximizing profits is the motive, forgive me for saying.

Jermaine and the other siblings should be protecting their mother from the likes of Mann and Johnson; yet we hear nothing from them. In this instance, silence means acquiescence. Justice, I checked the NV sec'y of state's website; seems adrienne is correct with her information about the existence of the LLC's and corporations containing names of J5 boys in various places; this is public record, anyone can access it; some corps, LLC's, have been suspended/revoked, I suspect for failing to file annual reports in a timely manner, which can be easily repaired by simply filing the report which returns the entity to "good standing" or "active" status. Yes Adrienne, many are retired or in semi-retirement. I don't know how you define has-been but if the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith are in your definition they're in excellent company. They've earned their status and are legends in the industry and were never one hit wonders. They have been recording and performing continuously for decades and still draw large crowds. "Has-beens" don't do that. Are they in their prime any more? OF COURSE NOT but they and the other artists listed above have left a vast legacy of music that is second to none in their respective genres. Also, Carlos Santana is hardly a has-been. He may not be on top of the Billboard charts but he is still at the top of his game and is concidered the gold standard for musicians and song writers of all ages from around the world. Forgive me but it's offensive to dismiss these artists as has-beens concidering what they each have contributed to music. Michael was not in his prime any more either but I would never reduce him to has-been status concidering what he has contributed in his life time in the areas of music/dance alone. The likes of Rick Astley, Tiffany, Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer (anyone remember them?) are has-beens. Not the artists listed at the top of my comment.
As for younger more "current" artists it's reported that Branca has brokered deals for Korn with EMI; and Shakira and Nickelback with Live Nation. He has also represented Alicia Keys, Eminem, Alanis Morissette, Weezer and Nelly. Hardly has-beens.
Also, Branca's work encompassed more than just artist representation it also included brokering some of the largest music publishing deals in history.

One thing that is apparent is that MJJ knew exactly what he was doing when he made John Branca an executor. Had he not there would not be an estate....Period.. When u are in business you create an individual LLC for any seperate business venture. Lets take this away from entertainment and maybe you can understand.. A builder has 10 to 15 different projects all have an indiviual LLC for that project. Some of those projects make money some go bankrupt. This is a protection does not mean the companies have any assets anymore at all.
Now as to the Jackson family being in the entertainment business for 40 years I am sure they may have 100's of these LLC for any project they have taken on over the years!

Thank you r.c. for you comment. As you say, LLC's can be a dime-a-dozen in the business world (construction, entertainment, etc.) and are not automatically indicative of foal play. Forgive me Adrienne, but it appears that you are too ready to see something sinister in these "ventures" when there is no proof of such.
As for Michael's sib's sudden output of decently produced material and media attention I suggest that it is not as a result of Michael's money somehow being funneled to them. The explosive interest in Michael's life/death over the last 2 years, especially since he died under suspicious circumstances, has also caused increased interest in his family by default. Anything related to Michael has been making money right now and everyone in all areas of the entertainment industry knows that. That's why Jackie, Latoya, etc., have had more media attention recently then they otherwise would have had. Janet has also been affected by this hence the renewed interest in her music career. Michael's money doesn't need to be secretly funneled to the sib's inorder for this to happen.

I am on team Kathrine and Mann. I have been a MJ fan most of my life and If fans really loved Michael they would also love his dear Mother as Michael did. If you get into the real facts of these goings on- you will see that Kathrines business partner and friend, Howard Mann is a pretty terrific guy who is only helping a very nice woman who needs help & Michaels kids. The estate puts out allot of bs in the media. BS that the fans actually believe. I think we are in for a few surprises in the future if Howard Mann gets to the bottom of the estates corruption. The lawyers have been screwing the Jacksons for many years and Michael himself knew it and was simply stuck in a storm legal bs. I have been a Michael Jackson fan for 27 or 28 years, my aunt was a J5 and a Mj fans before she pass, I remember teen beat, I wear the hair style and the jacket, I watch thriller when it was release in the movie theater, Michael was a member of the family when I was a teenager, I was there in 2005 when he was fighting to be free and when he died I saw that too.
So where would my loyalty be after Mj pass? With his legacy which his his estate that is consist of all his business matter and and his children plus mother.

Really?, I would also look forward to you telling your side of the story. However, in relation to one particular issue, I don't see how Mann's past money making endeavor's can be reconciled. It is a fact that he has sold or attempted to sell porn in various forms in the past. Surely you would agree that this, by its very nature, is a sleezy and dishonorable way to make money. It shows that this person has a history of trying to make a quick buck by appealing to the lowest common denominator. There is NO honor in that. I could never respect or trust someone with such a past. Would you?
In addition, how is it that you feel that the estate's rein is falling? The HTWF settlement? I hardly think that's a sign of any potential change of leadership at the estate.

To add, the reason why I keep harping on HM's past "business" activities is because of his access to an ederly women, 3 orphaned children and at least some of Michael's money/property. Just the appearance of this arrangement is distasteful to say the very least. His intentions SHOULD be questioned every step of the way. It would be irresponsible to not do so.
